I tried to make Tacos

I haven’t had the chance to cook a lot in the past month. With the holidays and all, the most intricate dish I’ve made have to be a ham sandwich. I bought these frozen tortillas a few weeks ago and yesterday I decided it’s time to see if I still got it. I have tried making quesadillas before, so I wanted to try something else. I looked up some recipes but got a little frustrated because I couldn’t pick one and I finally thought I’ll make a decision when I start cooking. And the end result was something that looks a little bit like taco 😀 It was very yummy though. I had to fight my mom for the one that was left after dinner. And here is the recipe:

Defrost the tortillas. I put mine in the oven for 2-3 min. Place a tortilla on a plate. Then spread the cream cheese, put the ham, beans and corn mix and sprinkle it with cheese. Be careful not to put too much.

Heat a small amount of cooking oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat for a few minutes. Place the loaded tortilla. Cook until browned on the bottom, then fold it. It takes not more than 5 min per taco.

 

Ingredients:

• 4 whole wheat tortillas
• 4 slices of original Italian ham
• cream cheese (I used one with green onion)
• 1 can of Mexican beans and corn mix (I used Bonduelle’s)
• 200 gr yellow shredded cheese
