Home is where the heart is

I spent the first night in my new home and it’s strange and exciting at the same time. The most peculiar thing is that, although it’s still not ready and most of my things are scattered all over the place, I feel good in here. I believe that doing all the work with my friends and family made it easier and welcomy, if that’s even a word. As Sarah Dessen puts it:

“Home wasn’t a set house, or a single town on a map. It was wherever the people who loved you were, whenever you were together. Not a place, but a moment, and then another, building on each other like bricks to create a solid shelter that you take with you for your entire life, wherever you may go.”

I’m ready and a little impatient to fill this new place with amazing moments, laughs and wonderful memories!
