Cup – cake

I was very skeptical about this recipe but it turned out great. It’s super easy, fast and very delicious.

5 Tablespoons flour
5 Tablespoons sugar
2 Tablespoons cocoa (unsweetened)
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
Dash of salt
1/2 teaspoon vinegar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
4 1/2 Tablespoons water
You just have to mix the ingredients with a spoon in the order they are listed above. You can do that in a bowl and then transfer the mixture in a cup or be as lazy as me and do the mixing right in the cup. Then you put it in the microwave for 1,5-2 min (depending on your microwave) without covering it. Check the cake with a toothpick to make sure it comes out clean.  You can top with whatever you like Рwhipped cream, powdered sugar, frosting or chocolate chips.

Apples with crust

I saw a recipe for these beautiful apples a few weeks ago and wanted badly to try it. I’ve altered it a little bit to fit my taste and here it is:

Preheat the oven to 180C/360F. Peel the apples, slice off the tops, rub them with lemon and remove the core. Then enlarge the holes and be careful to leave the bottoms intact. Fill the apples with Nutella. Cut pastry in 1,5cm stripes.Wrap the straps around the apples, overlapping the edges. Mix egg yolk with water and brush the wrapped apples. Place them in a baking pan and bake for 30 min or till the crust is crisp and golden. Add walnuts and cinnamon before serving. Bon apetit!

  • 4-5 medium sized slightly sour apples
  • 1 lemon
  • Nutella ( you can use any other chocolate hazelnut spread, you can also try with different jams)
  • Pastry
  • One egg
  • Walnuts
  • Cinamon
