We tried to find out which movie they’re filming near the zoo but the only thing that we found was a huge artificial crocodile and maybe the start of a cold πŸ˜‰ It’s freezing outside but I still wanted to show my new blouson dress and stockings. I hope you like them as much as I do.

Bulgaria: an emerging film location

As I was going to work yesterday, I saw big trucks and cameras in front of the zoo and as a big movie fan I wanted to know what’s going on. I asked around and still don’t know which is the movie they’re shooting but at least I got a nice idea for my next post. It appears that Bulgaria has become an intriguing destination for the filming industry with its low cost workers and diverse scenery. With its rich history it also offers a range of historicalΒ Thracian, Greek, Roman and Byzantine buildings and artifacts. The urban architecture is similar to many European cities like Vienna and Leningrad. In fact,Β  Sofia has even duplicatedΒ  Los Angeles in the 1930β€²s in The Black Dahlia. Other popular movie that were filmed in Bulgaria are:

The Expendables 2, Assassin’s Bullet,Β Conan the Barbarian, The Way Back, The Fourth Kind,Β Β Thick as Thieves, War, Inc., Hero Wanted, Hitman, Youth Without Youth, The Contract, HBO’s Rome and the not yet releasedΒ Killing Season andΒ 300: Rise of an Empire.

There are many big movie stars that have visited the country:

Robert De Niro, John Travolta, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Jet Li, Chuck Norris, Liam Hemsworth, Terry Crews, Donald Sutherland, Jason Momoa, Colin Farrell, Mark Strong,Β Ed Harris,Val Kilmer,Morgan Freeman, Antonio Banderas,Ray Liotta and many more.

I was looking through my photos from the past few months and decided to post these as I love the outfit. Earlier this year I found a tutorial on how to wear a man’s shirt in different ways. As I enjoy a good challenge, I tried all of them. If you like the idea I would recommend finding a big shirt, especially if you try the skirt or the dress. The top I’m wearing is done with one of my dad’s shirts and is my improvisation. I just switched the front with the back, I’ve put on a belt and adjusted it to my liking. I’m also wearing one of my favorite pairs of jeans which I found at a vintage store in Varna, a cute pair of blue heels and a hairstyle that completes the look.

You can see the tutorial of the different ways you can wear a man’s shirt here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-w504UBoUFM

Doing the hairstyle is pretty easy: Divide your hair in two sections. Tease the upper one and pin at the back. Divide the remaining section in two parts and braid each one of them. Pull each braid to the opposite side of your head and secure with bobby pins. You can tuck the ends underneath each braid. Finish with hair spray and you’re done!

Zebras or as I call them donkeys in pajamas πŸ™‚

It’s the 26th of October and it’s still sunny a rather warm! So me and my friend and colleague Petya decided to have our lunch brake at the zoo that’s practically 50 meters from our office. We found a nice gazebo where we could eat our sandwiches and watch the nearby animals. Petya loves shooting pictures of me or, if I have to be honest, I made her do it, but I’m very happy with the end product. And I’m glad I had one more chance to wear one of my favorite pairs of shoes this summer πŸ™‚

For all the boys and the geeky girls

I know that for any comic-book fan it’s unlikely to be news, but yesterday was the premiere of the first Iron man 3 trailer and I’m super excited. It’s so awesome and bad-ass and I hope the movie will be too. There are new Iron man suits, new villains, more Pepper Potts and less humor, which I don’t believe has any connection:) It’s just that after the Avengers, it appears that Tony Stark isn’t having such a good time with the appearance of the Mandarin and all..So let’s hope everything will be alright with our favorite genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist and there will be more of the sarcastic RDJ that we’re used to in the next trailers.

It’s all about movies

movies movies movies

I am a big cinema junky and IMDB is my bible. My friends even came up with a nickname “Mucipedia” that combines my pet name “Muci” and I believe you can guess where the other part came from. They use it almost every time there’s a conversation about movies and I jump in πŸ™‚

This category will feature MY opinions on anything to do with cinema. I’m no critique but I’m addicted to films and people often come to me for advise on what to watch on a rainy Sunday. I would love to share my thoughts andΒ  I welcome all comments and opinions!

Let the show begin πŸ™‚
